Glasgow Park

Pros: There are many many playground sets fit for various ages to keep the kids busy and a good size paved trail (2.6 mi) for walking, biking or running. Lots of open space. A big hill for a challenging sprint or wintertime sledding. Cons: Shade is limited to bench areas by the playground and a small part of the trail - it can be unbearably hot in the summer with little cover. Drainage is very poor in some areas. With a good rain there are some huge puddles and the grassed areas get very swampy. This can make it difficult to get from one place within the park to another with small children unless you want to go back to your car and drive around the park to get there. Parking can be scarce on busy days. Overall: One of the best places in the county to take the little ones on a nice day, and a decent place to walk or run, but be sure to bring a hat and sunblock. It's a relatively new park, so while the number of amenities are limited, the future of this park is bright, with many more amenities planned in the future phases of construction. If it is kept up and they fix some of the drainage issues, it should only get better.
