Wow! that is amazing, and I give you all the credit in the world, and you should be extremly proud! If only I could do something like that to change my community, and the way they look at things.

Growing up in West Hartford, CT and having a grandmother who now lives in the Hebrew Home and Hospital which is directly next to the playground, I have visited this playspace on numerous occasions. I think that the best part about this site is that is allows so much creativity and there are so many different structures and land that children can get lost (well at least have the illusion of being lost) in this imaginative world. I know I did. Frmo normal playground equipment, to tire bridges, to cubbies and hideouts, this is one of the most fun playgrounds I have been to!!

This is the original inspiration that helped launch the National Center for Boundless Playgrounds. I had the opportunity to personally visit this site while attending a conference in Connecticut and got a personal tour by the founders of Boundless Playgrounds. The concepts and equipment that originated at this playspace are now often copied by major manufacturers. This playspace revolutionized the playground world and the concepts of "universial accessibility" and "barrier-free deign." The Pioneering efforts that produced this playground has made play availble for ALL children. When you are in West Hartford, it is worth the trip to stop by and get inspired. It should be a historic landmark in my opinion.
