Salado Creek Trail

This segment features a 1.7 mile segment of multi-use recreational trail with aspalt and concrete surfaces as well as natural surface off-shoot trails. The scenic route runs between bluffs that run along the east and north sides of the creek and also include Bottomland Hardwood trees. Hikers access the trail at a temporary trailhead near the Voelcker Homestead (1021 Voelcker Lane) in Voelcker Park. A permanent trailhead at Blanco Road is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2009.
