Carroll Park

This is a huge park (117 acres) geared mainly toward older kids and adults. Lots of sport fields, and also a skate board park. Formerly this was the grounds of the Carroll family estate, and overlooking the park are two preserved mansions from Baltimore' earlier days. There's also plenty of room for family activities and relaxation, and a lengthy paved trail for hikers, joggers and bikes. Dogs are welcome but should be kept leashed. Restroom facilities are port-o-cans. Easy to walk to from the nearby neighborhood, but some parking is available. Mainly a warm-weather park; Baltimore' climate does not provide much opportunity for winter activities.
