I agree keeping alot of the open space is vital, for playing ball and simply running round, but the playground area definitely needs updating.

The PS 29 schoolyard is the only open space in Cobble Hill where children can play on their own. Its lack of amenities is actually a plus. Any help in approving the playground area while preserving the open space for inventive play is the best to go.

On any given day, the unstructured play space that is the PS 29 schoolyard supports an array of activities. Kids play soccer, squash, basketball, hockey, baseball, tennis and inventive games. They ride scooters, tricycles and learn how to ride bikes. Parents, grandparents and other adults play with the children after work and on weekends. It is a safe place for children to be kids. Help us preserve this open space for active recreation and make it better.

Aside from the garden, there is nothing in the playspace. It is essentially an empty lot.
