All proceeds from the 5th Annual Junior Woman's Club of Walpole (JWCW) Holiday Shopping Spree will benefit the Bird Park Children's Playground.

The Spree will be held Saturday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Walpole High School Cafeteria. $2 admission.

Are you a merchandiser or crafter? Sign up to rent space and sell your products.

Are you a shopper? Attend the Spree. Buy raffle tickets and goodies at the Bake Sale, to provide extra support to the Playground.

Are you a business owner near the Park? Ask for materials to help us advertise.

The more shoppers we have, the more money we raise for the Bird Park Playground! To help, contact jwcwshoppingspree@yahoo.com to request information.

I keep meaning to bring my camera over there, and I definitely WILL sometime soon, but if anyone else can manage to take a picture of the sad, empty play area and upload it here, it will really help our cause. Thanks!

We recently discovered Bird Park and love the big open space with walking trails and plenty of space for picnics and kites. The only downfall is that there wasn't a big playground for the kids!

We live across the street from bird park....we did not get a play structure for our backyard because we had the one at the park....it is now non existent....my 3 year old son is wondering where did his playground go....anything we can do for a new playground!!!!we love bird park......

Bird Park is amazing...although we'd LOVE to have the play structure back! It is so rare to have so much open green space for the public to enjoy free of charge--and that makes Bird Park such an asset to the community. With so much open space to play, picnic, etc., it is nearly perfect. But replacing the old playground would make this a park an even better destination!

Bird Park is a fun family park that provides our community with a place for our children to run and play, use their imagination and get some great exercise ! I spent many mornings, afternoons and lunch time play dates with my 3 children at the playground area. We need a new structure for our children to continue play, grow and share.

Even without the play structure Bird Park is still an amazing place to take the kids with all the open space, picnic tables and room to run around - but the playground is really the crowning jewel... so everyone pass the word along and post your comments & reviews here and help Bird Park get a new playground!

We love Bird Park - it's always clean and is such an oasis of green space. I only gave it lower ratings because the big playground had to be shut down... but hopefully Bird Park will win this contest and get new equipment and then it'll get 5 stars from me!
