Just want to say a quick thank you to our amazing community and supporters who helped us move into 3rd place early Friday morning. In addition to our rallies Thursday and Friday, which drew at least 7 stories on 4 different TV stations, we received support in this campaign from thousands of Richmond residents, the City of Richmond, the West Contra Costa Unified School District, the Lions Club, several individual public and private schools who circulated to parents, teachers and alumni, Catahoula Coffee, several other large and small businesses who shared with their employees and lists, the Richmond Progressive Alliance, our Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce, several candidates running for local office and beyond. It has been an incredible campaign. Whether we won is anyone's guess, but we've become a stronger community, and that has been amazing.

I live 25 miles from this park, but I know that the kids we help today will be the adults we want them to be tomorrow. Thankfully there are still parents who care!
