So, during one of the storms we had here last week, a tree fell on one of the "old kid" swings sets and as a result, it had to be taken down. Now there is even less at this park, but on the bright side, more space for a new playground!

The last thunder-lightning storm that rolled through town on Friday knocked down a tree (root and all) and crushed the swingset. yikes!

This is a great play area for children, if it only had actual things for the kids to play on. Nice area, water nearby and lots of land for kids to run and play. Swings & jungle gyms would be great there. Seems to be lots of little ones in the area who would really love it as much as there parents!

Hathaway Park is the ideal spot for a playground! The setting is amazing, located on the Assonet River, and it is in a location that is easy to walk or drive to. There is one park in town that is not appropriate for toddlers, and you must drive at least 25-30 minutes to other towns to find toddler playgrounds. An updated playground would bring so much life to such a gem of a park.

There are a lot of little neighborhoods full of young children surrounding Hathaway Park; It is thirsty for a playground!

This park is absolutely beautiful except there is nothing there for young children to do. There is a boat ramp, basket ball hoop and some "big kid" swings (those that aren't broken). There are a couple of tires thrown in some sand but other than that there is nothing for the kids to do. A fenced in playground would be ideal for this area.
