The best thing I can say about Ponderosa Park is that it is clean and the grass is kept cut.

Ponderosa Park serves the small town of Six Mile, SC. It is a gathering place for the community for the few activities that it supports - walking track, ball fields, small play ground for children. With some landscaping, more facilities and additional playground equipment, etc., the Park would be a great place for the the town's families to get together. The initial idea for the park was good, but now it needs a jump start to keep up with the children who want to use it.

Six Mile is a nice little town that is growing fast. The Ponderosa is close to town, but still far enough out that you don't have traffic close by. The Ponderosa has a nice track, baseball fields and a small playground. The playground is ok, but could have lots of improvements. The playground is more for older kids, not younger. I have a three year old who loves to go there to play, but I worry about the older kids being on there with him. Also, there is no shade for the kids to play under to keep from getting hot or sunburnt. There is mulch on the ground and a rock wall around the playground. Please help to get more for all ages of children to play with and on at the Ponderosa.
