Wow...where have all you guys been? Attend the meetings and you will know what is going on. There are a group of people who have been and are still working very hard to get everything in order. I take offence to these comments as I am one of them. Stop trashing the people that are doing something and help by joining with us and not against us.

It makes me sad to think my son will start school tomorrow with no where to play! Glad to jump in to do something positive. I hope it works. I don't know the background on why it was dismantled or who is responsible but it's a sad blank space and our kids deserve better.

I believe that children who are physically active grow healthier. I also believe that children who have fun at school feel a stronger connection to their school. A strong connection to school increases the likelihood that children perform better at school, which I believe will increase long-term successes in life.

A new set of playground equipment to replace the set taken down recently (due to becoming unsafe) will certainly work towards keeping our children physically active, connect them to their school and work to form friendships - all of which will help our children grow well into positve and healthy adolescents.

Our kids deserve to have a playground. They were so disappointed when they tore down the other one last year. My son hates the thought of going to school with nothing to do during recess and lunch.

The surface is fairly flat. It definitely requires patching. We presently have no equipment for the children to use and school begins in 2 days. The structure was removed with no plan of immediate replacement.

The school is a positive academic environment. Our kids need a playground.

I wish we had more than a day on this site, we are currently in 46th place.

It should be fairly easy to move up the list if everyone would post a few comments

What time on Tuesday? Perhaps create an event in the "Events" tab so that everyone will be aware. It seems like there is a real lack of communication, so getting everyone on the same page should be the first priority!

It takes a lot of time to get the playground process rolling - however, KaBOOM! can help; we've gone through the process over 1,800 times. Start a project planner page by clicking on the orange "build a playspace" tab up top. Then click "start a new project." There's TONS of information to help you move through the process and an information packed toolkit to answer most of the questions that you'll have. Once funding is secured there's no reason why it should take more than 2 months to get all of the required permits, approval, orders placed, and the playground built.
